New sensor additions to our Mpower portables range
IGD are proud to announce that we are further extending the sensor range in the Mpower portable products.
Through our partnership with Mpower, we can now provide our clients with detection for the following gases:
- N2O 10-1,000ppm (environmental and leak detection)
- PID Wide range 1-10,000ppm
- Phosgene 0.01-1ppm
- THT 0.1-40ppm
- Dual range CH4 and CO2 – 1-100%LEL and 50-50,000ppm
For the UNI, we are now able to offer the following new sensor additions:
- Lead free O2 with extended warranty (3 years) and 5 year lifetime. 0.1-30%VOL
- O2 inverted alarms for inerting 0.1-25% VOL
- Phosgene 0.01-1ppm
- Arsine 0.01-1ppm
- Acetaldehyde 1-20ppm

Unique N2O detection in a Portable Device
One we are particularly proud to offer is portable N2O detection in our POLI multi gas unit. For years IGD has manufactured fixed N2O detection for personal protection, which is the only available one in the market. Now with the partnership with Mpower we can also provide N2O detection in a portable device to provide clients the complete gas safety solution. In addition, N2O has become particularly important recently after the COP26 summit in Glasgow this November just gone. N2O is 300 times more warming to the planet than carbon dioxide and is now the main substance that depletes the ozone layer. This therefore was a big topic of discussion at this summit, examining the most effective ways in which this should be mitigated in the future. The POLI multi gas detection can now provide sufficient mitigation of this gas in environmental monitoring. With the ability to be paired with other polluting gases such as CO2 and methane, IGD can provide the perfect environmental monitoring solution for your application.

N2O and Oxygen Portable Detection for the Medical Industry
With this, we can also offer N2O portable detection for our clients in the medical industry. N2O is mostly used in maternity wards and dentistry’s across the globe; most known as laughing gas it is used as sedative or pain reliever. This can however, quickly leak and become both a toxic and global warming hazard, thus the medical industry requires monitoring this for leaks in combination with other hazards such as O2. We can now provide this for the medical industry in one detectably better, durable device, eliminating the need for multiple portables. As well as providing the world’s only fixed N2O detector. Both our fixed and portable devices use our long life O2 and NDIR N2o sensors for a 5-year operational life.
